My name is Anna Henriques, and I've been making images from the moment I got a hold of and could operate a camera. The start point for my love for photography comes from a very simple fear of forgetting; forgetting moments of beauty, of joy and of what my surroundings can mirror back to me and inform me about myself and the world which we all share. I have spent, and still spend, a lot of time dwelling on the worst parts of life, and so it has been essential for me to keep these moments close, as part of me.
This site serves as a small and hopefully growing archive, filling in a very obvious gap which I have created for myself. We're living in a social media era and I am, as it turns out, not cut out for the social media rat race; what does remain, however, is my love of images
